STAYNER ART FEST
We are happy to announce that Connie Leishman & Marion Spellman have graciously volunteered to be on the Stayner Art Fest committee and keep this important event alive this year. But wait…there is a catch. In order to make this event viable for both the artists and the community, it will only go forward if a minimum number of participants are interested.  If you would like to have a table at this year’s Art Fest, please contact the Stayner Chamber at staynerchamber@gmail.com for more info.

 

COMMITTEE CORNER - CHAMBER BUSINESS AWARDS
Juliet Campbell is this year’s Coordinator of the Chamber Business Awards.  Planning for the awards is already well underway with a Red Carpet 1940’s theme. Local comedian Rich Gill is already secured as the MC, a soft shoe tap performer is booked and the 1940’s playlist is in the works. Applications to nominate businesses and community members will be available on the Stayner Chamber website soon.  The awards will take place on May 26^th at Sunnidale Corners Hall.  Let the nominations soon begin!
 


SOCIAL MEDIA
In order to serve our members more effectively, the Stayner Chamber has hired a Social Media Coordinator. This paid position has been created to ensure that website updates and social media posts are taken care of in a timely and efficient manner. FACEBOOK BUSINESS OF THE MONTH
Interested in becoming the next Business Of The Month on our facebook page? All you have to do is be a member of the Chamber, and ask! This is a free posting for your business and it will be boosted for the duration of one week.  FOR FREE. Posts will be made in order of request and capped at 12 posts per year. No rollovers from year to year. Businesses are eligible to make the request once every 3 years.

 

MOTHERS DAY DRAW
The annual Mothers Day Draw is happening once again this year. This fundraiser for the Stayner Chamber has a great prize; a giant basket filled with unique gifts, coupons and gift certificates from our local shops. The committee for the draw is looking for donations to the basket. Please e-mail Terry Duits at  forgetmenotflowers@hotmail.ca if you are interested in providing a donation.
Tickets for the draw will be on sale soon. Information on where to purchase tickets will be in the next newsletter.

 

CANADA DAY
We are happy to announce that the Canada Day festivities will continue as usual this year.  Stay tuned for more information on our National holiday!

• Share Facebook posts of local businesses on your personal Facebook page
• Write a review on Google or Facebook for local businesses that you wish to support
• When doing your own business postings on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, use the hashtags #shopstayner and #stopinstayner
