REMAX PRESS RELEASE - NEW CANNABIS LAWS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

How Will the New Cannabis Laws Affect Your New Home Purchase or Investment Property?

WASAGA BEACH – June 22nd, 2018. Planning on buying a home or an investment property in the coming months? The federal government has established October 17th, 2018 as the day Canada’s prohibition of cannabis ends. Once this law comes into effect according to our provincial government (Ontario.ca) you will be able to grow up to four plants per residence (not per person). You will be able to purchase legal seeds and seedlings from the Ontario Cannabis Store. Experts feel that homeowners should be provided with the appropriate knowledge of safe cultivation methods and guidelines to ensure minimal harm to home growers and other residents.

An informative free seminar is taking place on Wednesday, July 11th at the Wasaga Beach RecPlex, The Oakview Room from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. hosted by William Caldwell Sales Representative from RE/MAX four seasons realty limited, Brokerage (Stayner).

“The new cannabis laws that are coming into effect will have an impact on each of us. As a local realtor, it is my job to understand the new changes and provide the most accurate information as possible to my clients. As a parent, resident and neighbour if I can help shine some light on this issue then it’s a great day all around,” said William Caldwell, Sales Representative from RE/MAX four seasons realty limited, Brokerage (Stayner).

William moved to Collingwood in the late nineties, and after a brief stint living in the Southern
USA returned to the area and currently resides in Wasaga Beach where he continues to strive ahead in the real estate market. His selling and buying expertise is focused on Ontario’s outdoor playground and the beautiful shores of Southern Georgian Bay. This area stretches from the Blue Mountains to Collingwood, down around the bay including Clearview, Wasaga Beach and up into Tiny Township, an aggregate market of both recreational and residential properties.

Topics to be addressed are:

Changes to the laws of legalizing cannabis Impact on purchasing your next home
What does a grow-op look like?
Have the rules changed regarding disclosure of grow-op?
Can your current and future tenants grow cannabis?
How can you protect yourself and your investment?
