AUGUST/END OF SUMMER NEWSLETTER 2018
Here we are at the end of August, and what an incredible summer it has been for the town of Stayner and Clearview Township!
Stayner Chamber members have saturated the local news in the past few months with articles on Lafreniere Auto Sales, Angie’s Place, Torn Pages, April Herbert from Nifty Thrifty Shop, as well as a short news clip on CTV News Barrie on the upcoming growth of Stayner.
Also in the news was our amazing Staynerite, Raymond Hardisty. Global News did a piece on Raymond, as he has now raised over $30,000 for Sick Kids Hospital over the past 10 years! Raymond was surprised by the Blue Jays mascot while at work at our Stayner Dairy Queen and invited to throw the first pitch at a Blue Jays game on August 8th. Congratulations Raymond, and thank you for your continued support of Sick Kids Hospital!

CLEARVIEW CULTURE & SPORTS HALL OF FAME
Frieda Linke was inducted into the Clearview Culture & Sports Hall of Fame on June 12, 2018, for the Artist Achievement Award!
The Clearview Culture & Sports Hall of Fame will eventually have a permanent home at the Stayner Community Centre once construction of the new Clearview Public Library is completed.
Congratulations to Frieda!
ECOBARK GRAND OPENING
The Stayner Pet Store generously donated dog treats and poop & scoop bags to be handed out to all dog-owners that attended the grand opening of the Clearview Dog Park on Tuesday, June 19. Nicknamed the EcoBark, the dog park is a fully-fenced off-leash dog park located at 5833 County Road 96 (formerly 27/28 Sideroad).
ECOPARK CELEBRATION DAY
The EcoPark Celebration Day took place August 18th and included free family activities, crafts, photos for families and their pets, and most importantly, eco-friendly vendors! Many families came by with their furry friends to enjoy Clearview’s new EcoBark dog park and check out the EcoPark loop trail.
Thank you to everyone who came by and made this event so much fun.
MUSIC, MARKET AND PARK IT
Another successful season for Music, Market and Park It in Station Park has come and gone. This summer featured many great bands and opening artists, and really drew out an amazing crowd.
A huge thank you to our vendors, staff, and community for making this such an incredible event each and every week.
As our summer comes to a close, we’re looking forward to yet another exciting season next summer.
