Welcome to new Chamber members Charlie’s Diner and The King Of Caesars! Charlie’s Diner is located in the new Stayner plaza located at 7423 Hwy 26, Stayner ON and The King Of Caesars is a local product line of salad dressings and dips that can be found in many of your local grocery stores.
  
 
INTERIM STAYNER CHAMBER DIRECTORS
Congratulations to new Interim Chamber Director Fiona Frustaci. Fiona made the decision to run for Interim Director in order to fill that position until the next AGM. Fiona was voted in by the Chamber Executive at the October Executive meeting. 
 
Congratulations and Welcome to new Interim Secretary, Wendy West. Wendy owns the local brand of salad dressing, The King Of Caesars. She is pleased to be a member of the Chamber and is excited to work as the new Interim Secretary until the next AGM.
 
ALL CANDIDATES MEETING
The public is invited to attend an All Candidates Meeting on Tuesday, October 15, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Stayner Community Centre, 269 Regina St., Stayner.  Attend the event to meet and ask questions of your Federal election candidates.
 
General event rundown:

• 6:00 pm doors open, meet and greet with attendees
• 7:00 pm formal debate begins
• Question and answer period
• Closing remarks
• 9:00 pm finish
• 30 min grace period to speak with attendees

Candidates will be given an opportunity to speak and the public will be given an opportunity to ask questions during the question and answer period.

Sherri Jackson – Green
Terry Dowdall – Conservative
 
Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase at the event.
   
 
REMEMBRANCE DAY BANNERS
The Remembrance Day banners organized by the Stayner Heritage Society are now up in the Stayner downtown corridor along Hwy 26. The banners are a wonderful tribute to the local soldiers who fought for our freedom. Next time you are on Stayner’s main street, look up.

 
CANADA DAY
Thank you to everyone that sponsored, assisted, and attended Canada Day this year.  It was a beautiful day and we had a great turnout of people. A special thank you goes out to Stayner Home Hardware for donating the flags and pins, Clearview Public Library for donating the games, Stayner Dairy Queen for donating the ice for the snow cones, all of the volunteers who assisted on the day, Clearview Township for the tents and staffing, and the Heritage Society for arranging the vendors and parade. A huge thank you to Martina Ernst for Chairing this event!


STAYNER ARTS FEST
Stayner Arts Fest was another success this year. The weather held up for the 42 arts and food vendors on the day. There was a demonstration by Maizes Martial Arts as well as vocal entertainment. There was an approximate 400 visitors to the event with an estimated economic impact of $32,000.  Congratulations and thank-you to Co-Chairs Marion Spellman and Connie Lieshman for putting on another great event!


WORKSHOP SERIES
The next workshop is Goal Setting on October 2^nd.  How to manifest, turning your dreams into reality, with Charley Lewis.

All workshops are $5 at the door and will take place at:

WITCHES WALK
It’s only one month away!  Save the date and get your costume ready for the Stayner Witches Walk, Friday November 2^nd in downtown Stayner.  The night begins at the gazebo and runs for several hours. Buy your passport for the opportunity to win prizes and visit all the stores for deals!

 
WINTER DECORATIONS
Stayner has new winter lights coming for the main street!  A red and white scroll-type light was approved and purchased by Clearview Township for our downtown core.  Not only will they beautiful and festive for the winter months, they will brighten up the Stayner HWY 26 corridor.

CLEARVIEW CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
At the next General Stayner Chamber of Commerce meeting in October, the membership will be voting on whether to change the Stayner Chamber of Commerce to the Clearview Chamber of Commerce. The Stayner Chamber of Commerce will still exist, but it will operate under the new name of Clearview Chamber of Commerce to include the surrounding villages in its purview. The Chamber’s membership, reach and events would incorporate the whole area of Clearview, instead of just Stayner.  If you are interested in this transition and wish to vote, or to find out more information, pleas attend the October 16^th General Chamber Meeting at 217 Gideon Street beginning at 6:30 pm.

Want to advertise your business on the Stayner Chamber website and the Chamber’s ShopStayner website?  The cost is only $100 per month to have your logo/photo on the front page of BOTH websites, along with a brief blurb on your business.
