Tourism Simcoe County is thrilled to offer this 3-part workshop series for farms, food producers and food retailers, beginning with a 90-minute virtual session which will give you all the tools you need to take your business online. This is not a one-off, this is a support system.

Part 1: How To Take Your Business Online
Monday, June 22, 2020 at 3PM
Learn how to look at your business from a 10 thousand foot view and to pick out those elements that allow movement into the online space. This includes market research and an overview of tools to leverage online transactions.

Part 2: Mastermind Implementation
Monday, June 29, 2020 at 3PM
This session will be a 1-week follow-up session to review homework and continue to validate the business model you want to launch online together.

Part 3: Launch and Follow-up
Mid-July (Date TBD)
This session will be 2 weeks following Part 2, where participants will continue to ask questions and review how your online business is doing. We will review your content on social media or your e-commerce platform descriptions on the webinar to offer live feedback that you can implement right away!

ABOUT PHASE 2 REOPENING

 
 
On Friday, June 12, Simcoe County will enter Stage 2 of Provincial reopening. Select businesses and public spaces may reopen if they can safely meet the public health criteria outlined in the provincial framework. Workplaces and their patrons can help make Stage 2 a success by following general public health advice and implementing workplace safety measures. 
 
What does that mean for tourism in Simcoe County?

  • Tour & Guide Services 
  • Water Recreational Facilities 
  • Outdoor Recreational Facilities

Ontario is working with industry and agency partners to launch Ontario Live — a new virtual hub designed to promote and support the province’s tourism and cultural industries.

When complete, Ontario Live will allow all Ontarians to access concerts, online art experiences, gallery and museum tours, virtual tourism experiences and much more, from the safety of their own homes.

 COVID-19 TOURISM INDUSTRY SURVEY: PHASE 6

 
 
The Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAO) has released phase 6 of their COVID-19 industry survey, to monitor the progression of COVID-19 on the Ontario’s tourism industry.  
 
The survey will close on Friday, June 19th at 8:00AM
