Celebrate Canada Day in a safe and socially distant way. Get ready for the...CANADA DAY SOCIAL DISTANCE CELEBRATION!
Clearview residents are encouraged to dress up in red & white (and maybe your furry friends too!) Decorate your car, motorcycle, bike, tractor, trike, wagon, etc. Take a walk, jog, run, bike, or drive to say hello to friends, neighbours, seniors, and loved ones. Bring joy to the people in isolation from the street and sidewalks or through windows & doors. Wave and cheer to others you pass doing the same. Take photos and videos and post them on social media using the hashtag #clearviewcanadadaycelebration and/or send them to the Clearview Chamber of Commerce Facebook page for posting.
Businesses are encouraged to participate by decorating their store windows, whether they are open to the public or remain closed. We are also encouraging residents to decorate their homes, lawns, or windows. Let's see some creativity and have fun while promoting positivity and cheer. Let’s come together, even though we must stay apart. ♥
While you're out, take a stop at Station Park at 11:00 am for the Stayner Lions Club fundraiser 'Clipper Haircuts for Camp Oochigeas' – a camp for children with cancer. Cash donations will be accepted on the day, or before through the Stayner Lions Club.
The Stayner and District Kinsmen in partnership with PyroWorld pyrotechnics will be awarding 3 prizes to the best-dressed windows or homes. There will be 1 winner for the best-dressed business, and 2 separate winners for the best dressed home. We encourage you to post pictures of your homes or business on either the Stayner and District Kinsmen Facebook page or in the comment section of the Facebook event page. Judging will take place on June 28th.
The prizes are as follows.
