BUSINESS ASSISTANCE INFO & PPE RESOURCES

If you are a small business, then the month of October is all about you as we celebrate Small Business month! It has been a challenging year being a business owner during the COVID-19 pandemic however there are local resources and support available. The Centre For Business and Economic Development offers valuable support and resources to help foster the growth of small businesses. We offer wrap-around support services to assist small businesses and strengthen our local economy.

Some of the services we provide are:

Regional Relief Recovery Funding (RRRF)
Business loans up to $300,000
Business improvement loans up to $20,000
Business Match Finding Program
Business coaching/mentoring programs
Business counselling
Connection to local resources
Business events and training

Habitat for Humanity ReStore wants to help the community stay safe... affordably! Amid the COVID-19 crisis, supporting our local community businesses is essential during these challenging times. We know firsthand how much businesses have to spend on covid supplies to keep their staff and customers safe as we all try to slow the virus' spread, particularly as case counts rise in our region. Habitat believes in businesses helping businesses. Working with our supply partners, the Habitat ReStore has secured a significant amount of hand sanitizer from our warehouse, and are extending the savings on to Chamber Member Businesses to help reduce the expense of hand sanitizer. The ReStore is open Tuesday to Saturday 9:00 am – 4:30 pm.

If you’re a tourism operator in the counties of Bruce, Grey and Simcoe and have incurred business expenses for PPE (personal protective equipment*) during COVID-19, RTO7 can help! With a total of $150,000 in funding available, funds are being allocated on a “first come, first served” basis to 150 tourism businesses in our region. Each business may be reimbursed a maximum of $1,000 to cover these expenses, retroactive to April 1, 2020. Your contribution? Copies of your receipts for expenses incurred up to $1,000 pre-tax.
