It’s with great pleasure that I tell you Music, Market and Park It will return this summer and will include 13 concerts, starting on June 3. However, please note that with the uncertainty of COVID-19, the market could be canceled at any time if the Federal or Provincial health & safety guidelines change. Please know that if this unfortunate event occurs there will be NO fee penalties for the sponsors. Any funds provided will be refunded as quickly as possible.
As in the past, the market will start at 5 p.m. and the concerts will begin at 7 p.m. and run until 9 p.m.
We kick off the concert series on June 3 with Two Guys With Guitars. This group plays rock music, they played in the market last year and received many great comments.
Other great bands performing this summer include:
June 10 – Not confirmed yet. June 17 – Not Ottawa. This rock group from Nottawa has a strong following. You won’t be disappointed. June 24 – Not confirmed yet. July 01 – Not confirmed yet. July 08 –String Theory. A local group who new for this year playing a mix of Pop/Rock Classics of the 60’s to 80’s July 15 – Highway 26. If you enjoy rock and blues don’t miss out on this group. And they're from the Friendly Town of Stayner. July 22 – Dusty Roads Band. They are a newly formed group of familiar faces playing contemporary country. July 29 – Not confirmed yet. Aug 05 – The Regal Jazz Band. This area band plays dixieland-style jazz. Aug. 12 – Not confirmed yet. Aug. 19 – Southern Comfort. A local country group, these musicians perform classic and more contemporary country music. Aug. 26 – Mystery Group. Another new band this year with a country swing. This band will finish out our season.
Now, while we all know Music, Market and Park It is a great summertime event that is free to the public, but it does require sponsorship support to pay for all of the groups. And that’s where you – as a chamber member – can help make this 18th year possible. Our gold sponsorship level is $500 and a silver level is available for $250.
Sponsor business names will be included on promotional signage at each concert, will be mentioned on social media, and on the chamber website. Sponsors will also get to pick an evening to come out, mingle with the crowd and assist with the weekly 50/50 draw as well as being announced and thanked for your support from the stage.
