Chamber By-Law Amendments
The following by-law amendments were passed at the AGM:
- Associate Membership was amended to allow it to be a free membership, but no voting rights.
- Increased the number of allowable Directors to six, but no fewer than three, with a two-year term for each.
- All new Directors and Officers are required to sign the Chamber’s Oath of Office and the Confidentiality Agreement upon election.
Welcome Summer Student!
A warm welcome goes out to our fabulous summer student, Jessi Molnar. Jessi will be working on several Chamber projects and events this summer so you may be interacting with her at some point. You will also see her around Clearview watering the Stayner flowers and helping the Clearview Township's tourism and parks departments.
Mother's Day Basket
Tickets for the Mother’s Day Basket were SOLD OUT!!! A HUGE thank you to the businesses that donated items for the basket, to the businesses that sold the hard copy tickets, to Mira Macan who chaired the event, and to Kat Salvador who worked on the online ticket sales.
Congratulations to the basket winners; Tony Fry and Rebecca Macan!
 
Music Market & Park It
Another update: Clearview Township is now working on changing the designation of the market to be a Farmer’s Market, so it can still move forward despite the COVID restrictions. If approved, the market will ONLY be a farmer’s market and will not have live music or the classic cars. The market area will be fenced with one entrance, one exit, and a limited capacity of shoppers. Once COVID restrictions are lifted to the point where gatherings are once again allowed, the music and possibly the classic car portion can once again be allowed.
New Banners
The new banners for Stayner’s downtown are up and they look fabulous! Thank you Clearview Township for making Stayner’s downtown look alive again.
Flower Planters
The flowers for downtown Stayner are in! Thank you so much to Clearview Township for supplying the pots, to Rural Roots for choosing and growing the flowers, and to all the volunteers who planted them. Downtown Stayner will now have a cohesive look of blooms with Downtown Creemore. Also, an advanced thank you to our summer student Jessi, who will water them and keep them beautiful throughout the summer. GO TEAM! 
 
Canada Day
Once again this year the Clearview Chamber will be hosting the Canada Day Social Distance Celebration, (#clearviewcanadadaycelebration), encouraging families and businesses to festively decorate their homes and windows, then travel around their neighbourhoods to wave and honk at their neighbours from a distance. The Chamber will be voting on the Clearview business with the best dressed window and will be awarding the winner a free 2022 Chamber membership. Get ready to decorate!
